NIT Silchar, Assam, is calling for applications for various technical positions as part of its recruitment drive.

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, Assam, seeks eligible candidates for the position of Project Associate-I for the DST-SERB (CRG) sponsored project titled “Sign Language Translator for Identification of Health Conditions of the Deaf and Dumb Population for Medical Attention” within the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Details of the Position:

  • Post Title: Project Associate-I
  • Number of Vacancies: 1
  • Essential Qualification: Candidates must hold a BE/B.Tech/M.Sc./M.Tech or equivalent degree in relevant branches from a recognized university. Research or project experience in the field of Machine Learning/Deep Learning is desirable.
  • Salary:
    • Rs. 31,000/- per month for candidates who have qualified GATE, NET, or any other national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions.
    • Rs. 25,000/- per month for other candidates.
  • Age Limit: 35 Years (as of the closing date of application). Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN/PWD candidates will be provided as per Government of India rules.
