Northeast India Felt Earthquake Tremors

Earthquake tremors were felt in the northeastern part of the country on Friday morning. At around 7:55 am, an earthquake occurred in Manipur, Assam’s Guwahati and other areas. So far, no loss of life or property has been reported from any place. On the other hand, the Northeast region falls in the high seismic zone, due to which earthquakes are frequent.

A report by the National Center for Seismology said that the first tremors were felt in Myanmar, while the second tremor was recorded in Manipur and Assam. The magnitude of the earthquake in Manipur was recorded at 3.8 on the Richter scale. The depth of this earthquake was about 10 km below the earth. The tremors of the earthquake were felt for a few seconds. According to geologists, its center was on the Indo-Myanmar border.

Earthquake tremors were felt in Myanmar at about 3.52 minutes. The magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 5.2 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 162 km from Burma. The depth of this earthquake was about 140 km below the earth. People panic after the strong tremors of the earthquake in Myanmar.


Earlier on September 24, earthquake tremors were felt in Andaman and Nicobar in India. The magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 6.1 on the Richter scale. After the earthquake that struck late at around 2.30 the same day, people left the house and went out. At the same time, tremors of 5.0 magnitude were also recorded in the same area on July 5. At the same time, there was an earthquake in Andaman and Nicobar as well as in the northern province of Ekeh in Indonesia.
