One Arrested, Several Suspects Absconding

Police arrested one accused soon after the incident. However, several other suspects fled the scene and remain absconding.

Investigators believe the confrontation occurred due to rivalry between groups allegedly linked to narcotics trade in the region. Officers are now working to identify and locate the remaining suspects.

The case has prompted authorities to strengthen the investigation and examine possible links between the accused and organised drug trafficking networks.

Special Interrogation Team Constituted

To speed up the investigation, police constituted a special interrogation team under the supervision of Rajib Sutradhar.

The team will interrogate the arrested accused in connection with Bishalgarh PS Case No. 20261110016. Authorities registered the case under several provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

Police officials expect that coordinated questioning and investigation will help uncover further details about the incident.

Officers Included in Investigation Team

The special team includes several senior police officers and investigators from different police stations in the district.

Members of the team include Vikash Senthiya, along with officers-in-charge Subimal Barman, Bijoy Das and Tapash Das.

The team also includes Sub-Inspectors Supratim Dey, who serves as the investigating officer in the case, and Subhajit Deb.

Police believe that involving officers from multiple stations will help strengthen coordination and improve the efficiency of the probe.

Daily Reports to Track Investigation Progress

The interrogation team will operate under the overall leadership of Additional SP Rajib Sutradhar. Authorities have instructed the team to submit daily progress reports on the investigation.

Officials also directed the team to prepare a detailed interrogation report after questioning the arrested suspect. The report will help investigators determine the next steps in the case and identify other individuals involved in the clash.

Focus on Narcotics Network

Police are examining whether the clash forms part of a larger network of narcotics trafficking in the region. Officers will focus on gathering intelligence on the operations, links and activities of the suspected groups.

Authorities believe that the interrogation of the arrested accused may provide key information about the rivalry between the groups and their possible involvement in drug-related crimes.

The investigation continues as police search for the remaining suspects and attempt to establish the full sequence of events that led to the violent confrontation in Sepahijala district.
