Lembuchara, Tripura: Tipra Motha Supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarma said that his party’s movement is focused on protecting the rights of the Tiprasa people and securing a better future for the younger generation. He made the remarks while addressing supporters during a bike rally held in Lembuchara on Thursday.

Speaking at the rally, Pradyot Kishore Debbarma stated that the political movement led by Tipra Motha is not aimed at gaining positions of power such as minister or MLA. Instead, he said the primary goal is to safeguard the rights and identity of the indigenous Tiprasa community.

“Our fight is not for the post of minister or MLA. Our fight is for our children and for securing the rights of the Tiprasa people,” Debbarma said while addressing participants of the rally.

He also added that he would not compromise with the interests of the community. According to him, the movement represents the collective aspirations of the indigenous people of Tripura.

The rally saw participation from party workers, supporters, and local residents who joined the bike procession through different parts of Lembuchara. Organizers said the event was part of the party’s outreach program to connect with people at the grassroots level and highlight issues related to tribal rights, identity, and development.

Political analysts say such public events are likely to play a role in shaping the political narrative in Tripura’s tribal areas. The rally also comes at a time when political discussions around the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) and tribal governance continue to gain attention in the state.

Local residents and youth groups were seen actively participating in the rally, reflecting increasing political engagement in the region. Observers believe that more outreach events and public meetings may take place in the coming weeks as political activities intensify in Tripura’s tribal areas.
