Narendra Chandra Debbarma, who was a Tripura minister and the leader of the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) passed away today at 2.47 pm in the hospital.
NC Debbarma 84-year-old, State Revenue Minister was taken urgently to the Agartala Government Medical College and Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital, where his condition is described as critical because he needs surgery for blood clots in his brain.
Dhiraj Debbarma grandson of Narendra Chandra Debbarma stated that He was admitted to the hospital on Friday after having a cerebral hemorrhage and kept on a ventilator because he suffered from a serious brain attack.
After the new Cabinet was elected in Tripura previously in 2022 under Dr. Manik Saha, NC Debbarma was facing difficulties to read out his oath of office due to some health issues.
Debbarma was involved in a few accidents last year, which led to migraines and illness. He pretty much stopped participating in politics for a while before being forced to return and retake control of IPFT by an organizational change inside his party that intended to demote him to the position of advisor.
Dr. Manik Saha, the chief minister of Tripura, immediately went to the hospital and met the medical personnel caring for Debbarma. Along with other prominent Bharatiya Janata Party and Indigenous people’s front of Tripura leaders, Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik also visits the hospital.
