A group of women protested at Ampi, Amarpur against the BJP State Vice President Patal Kanya Jamatia on 6 June, Monday.PK Jamatia was reportedly going to attend the joining program at Ampi, Amarpur. The protesters stood there holding the black flags with the slogan “Patal Kanya go back”. The Protestants raised the question about the funds collected by Miss P.K Jamatia in the name of the NRC case in Delhi and asked her to return those funds to the public. As per the source, the protesters were warned several times by the police, and finally, smoke bombs were used by the police to contain the situation.

BJP State Vice President Patal Kanya Jamatia, before joining the ruling party, was reportedly collecting money from the public to visit Delhi to fight for the NRC. After seeing her promise being nothing but fake propaganda and that she had cheated the public, the women of Ampi held a protest demanding their hard earn money to be returned by the BJP State Vice President Patal Kanya Jamatia.

Protestants said, “First we supported her with her promises and works believing that she is working for the people and we provided her support through donations, but seeing her attitude now, everyone is hurt by her change in behavior. We have realized that it was never her motive to fight for the people. If it was, we would have seen it by now. Therefore, we are demanding our money to be returned which she took earlier every month twice or thrice in the name of NRC.”

Earlier, the same incident was seen at Shyamnagar where Patal Kanya Jamatia was reportedly going for a party gathering where a group of protestants especially women, blocked the road with the slogan of Patal Kanya Jamatia go back and. They also had the same demand from her to return the money taken by her as a name of the fight for NRC.
