Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Sourav Ganguly, is reportedly in talks to become the brand ambassador of Tripura Tourism. Sushanta Chowdhury, the Minister for Tripura Tourism, recently met with Ganguly at his residence in Kolkata to discuss this proposal.
Chowdhury believes that having a prominent figure like Sourav Ganguly as the brand ambassador will greatly benefit the tourism sector in Tripura. In a social media post, he expressed optimism about the positive outcome of the discussion with Ganguly and assured the people of Tripura that they would soon experience the benefits.
Accompanying Chowdhury during the meeting were Uttam Kumar Chakma, the secretary of Tripura Tourism, and Tapan Kumar Das, the director. This indicates the seriousness of the proposal and the government’s commitment to strengthening the tourism sector in the region.
