Acting on specific intelligence inputs, officials detained one Bangladeshi woman and two Indian men involved in trafficking activities. The individuals had reportedly crossed into India illegally from Bangladesh and arrived at the railway station with the intention of traveling to Hyderabad, possibly as part of a larger trafficking network.

The arrested Bangladeshi woman has been identified as Mamuda (30), a resident of Shariatpur district in Bangladesh. The two Indian nationals have been identified as Krishna Debnath (32) of Battala, under Sabroom Police Station, and Tutan Dey (28) of Rajnagar, also under Sabroom Police Station in South Tripura. Both are suspected to be touts involved in facilitating cross-border trafficking.

According to Tapas Das, Officer-in-Charge of the Agartala GRP Police Station, the trio is currently being interrogated in phases, and preliminary investigations suggest the possibility of more individuals being involved in the racket. A formal case has been registered at the Agartala GRP Police Station, and the accused will be produced before the court shortly.

Authorities have stated that further investigations are underway and expect more revelations in the coming days regarding the human trafficking network operating in the region.
