The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) in Nagaland will assemble today to choose a new leader in Kohima. After a convincing win, the state’s governing NDPP and the Bharatiya Janata Party kept their hold on power in the state.
The current Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, will continue to serve as the Chief Minister of the state, according to NDPP Secretary General Abu Metha.
According to him, the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party governments’ priorities will be peace and development in Nagaland. He praised the people for continuing to support the Rio administration.
Abu Metha stated that the NDPP Party has complete trust in both the central leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party and in Modi Ji.
According to Bharatiya Janata Party national spokesperson Nalin Kohli, the Naga people have endorsed the government’s development initiatives under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and he promised that their party will continue to prioritize advancing the development process.
