Tripura Pradesh BJP president, Rajib Bhattacharya, asserted on Sunday that recent discussions between Congress and Tipra Motha would not impact state politics or pose a challenge to the BJP. Bhattacharya, addressing the media after PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat, affirmed the party’s steadfastness and readiness.
No Significant Challenge, Says BJP Chief
Bhattacharya, informed about the discussions through media reports, downplayed their significance for the BJP. He emphasized that the party is always prepared and highlighted the tireless efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for development and the welfare of the people.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, Bhattacharya noted that the double-engine government remains committed to serving the people. He pointed out recent initiatives like the health insurance scheme, providing medical benefits up to Rs 5 lakh for all citizens.
Expressing gratitude for continued support from the people despite challenges faced during recent elections, Bhattacharya reiterated the BJP’s readiness to face any political developments.
When questioned about ongoing dialogues with Tipra Motha within the BJP, Bhattacharya deferred to senior leaders for information. Reflecting on PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat, he appreciated the episode’s focus on serving society, particularly the most marginalized.
Bhattacharya shared his privilege in listening to Mann Ki Baat alongside dedicated karyakartas in Ramnagar. The BJP chief’s remarks underscore the party’s confidence and commitment to its political agenda despite emerging political discussions in the state.
