Congress Observers to Meet Leaders Across Nine Districts

TPCC president Asish Kumar Saha said the party would organise meetings throughout the state to strengthen its organisational activities and coordinate its campaign.

During the three-day visit, All India Congress observers Gajendra Pratap Singh, Pradeep Jain and Deepak Sharma will cover all nine organisational districts. They will meet district and block-level leaders, as well as Pradesh Congress functionaries responsible for the respective districts.

The meetings will help the party review its preparations, communicate its campaign priorities and mobilise workers for upcoming programmes.

Electoral Issues to Remain Central to the Campaign

According to Saha, the meetings will focus on the Congress party’s demands for the resignation and arrest of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The party is also demanding the withdrawal of FIRs and the restoration of names that it alleges were deleted from electoral rolls.

The Congress has accused the Election Commission of undermining democratic rights and favouring the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during elections across the country. These claims represent the party’s allegations and have not been established by the information provided.

Through the district-level meetings, the TPCC aims to communicate its concerns to local leaders and strengthen participation in its campaign on electoral transparency and democratic rights.

Preparations for November 1 Rally in New Delhi

Another key objective of the meetings will be to mobilise Congress workers and supporters for a proposed rally at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on November 1, 2026.

The party intends to use the gathering to intensify its campaign on electoral and democratic issues. The visiting observers will coordinate with local leaders and assess preparations for the planned programmes.

Meanwhile, the TPCC plans to organise additional activities at the block level across Tripura until November 25. These programmes will aim to extend the campaign beyond district headquarters and involve party workers at the grassroots level.

TPCC Seeks Opposition Unity in Tripura

Saha also said the party would use district meetings and press conferences to appeal to other Opposition parties in Tripura to join a united campaign on democracy and electoral rights.

The Congress hopes that cooperation among Opposition groups will strengthen its campaign and bring greater attention to its demands.

Tripura, one of the eight states in Northeast India, has an active political landscape in which district and block-level organisations play an important role in mobilising voters and communicating political campaigns. The upcoming meetings are intended to strengthen the Congress’s organisational network across the state.
