The Tripura government has taken a plan to invest Rs. Minister Vikas Debbarma said this at a press conference at the Janjati Kalyan office in Suparibagan on Wednesday.

On this day, he said, the Janjati Research and Culture Center under Tripura Government implements various projects for the social development, preservation and revival of the life, culture and economy of the Janjatis. According to him, Janjati Research and Culture Center reprints various rare books of Tripura. Published 208 books so far. There is a library under this research center. He said that 15394 books written on the tribes of Tripura and North Eastern region are collected in that library.

Besides, there is a Janjati Museum under this research center focusing on the lifestyle and culture of the 19 Janjati communities of Tripura, he added. Not only that, there is a folk music college called Tripura State Academy of Tribal Culture under that research center. On this day, he said, the Tripura government has taken a plan to invest 100 crore rupees for the preservation and development of the culture of the people. It aims to transform it into a research center of excellence.
