Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) Jamjuri Branch organized a Jansuraksha Campaign at South Murapara Gram Panchayat under Kakraban RD Block, drawing participation from over 100 beneficiaries. The event turned out to be a major success in spreading awareness about social security schemes and financial inclusion in rural Tripura.
The programme was graced by several dignitaries including TGB Chairman Satyendra Singh, NABARD Deputy General Manager Diganta Kumar Das, NABARD District Development Manager Khokan Dey, TGB Regional Manager (South) Payel Saha, and the Lead District Manager of Gomati District. The Pradhan of South Murapara GP was also present.
During their addresses, the officials highlighted the significance of Government of India’s flagship social security schemes — Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), and Atal Pension Yojana (APY). They urged participants to update their KYC details in Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) accounts to continue receiving government-linked benefits without interruption.
The campaign saw fresh enrollments under these schemes, helping expand coverage among rural households. A touching moment of the event came when a cheque of ₹2 lakh was handed over to the nominee of late Sabita Das, a TGB Jamjuri Branch customer enrolled under PMJJBY. This gesture underscored the importance of social security coverage and the bank’s role in supporting families during difficult times.
With enthusiastic participation from villagers and strong guidance from both bank and NABARD officials, the Jansuraksha Campaign concluded on a highly positive note. Tripura Gramin Bank reiterated its commitment to strengthening financial inclusion and social security awareness through similar outreach initiatives across the state.
