Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and in-charge of Tripura Mahesh Sharma seems to be coming under suspicion among the leaders of his own party. In BJP, special care is taken about the confidentiality of the meetings held with senior leaders and office bearers. Party leaders are usually tight-lipped about what transpired in their meetings. But at the end of this week, in a meeting with the state leaders, MP Mahesh Sharma gave a statement related to the conversation with the top leaders regarding the anti-party activities of some leaders in the state unit. This remains a topic of discussion among party leaders.

Tripura in-charge Mahesh Sharma was speaking during a meeting on the anti-party activities and rebellion of some leaders in the state unit. During this, Mahesh Sharma cited a top leader of the party, with whom Mahesh Sharma had a meeting last week on the issue of this ongoing rebellion within the party in the state.

Mahesh Sharma said that the top leaders have set an example for the future of those leaders who rebelled in the past. In which names like Shankarsinh Vaghela and Uma Bharti were included. After this statement of in-charge Mahesh Sharma, now a situation of doubt is arising among the party leaders of the state regarding in-charge Mahesh Sharma.

State leaders are now wondering how they can trust such an “in-charge” if he does not keep the secrecy of his meetings with top leaders.

Mahesh Sharma, the BJP MP from Gautam Budh Nagar, has recently been made in-charge of Tripura. Keeping in view the preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP President JP Nadda had appointed several leaders as in-charges, including the name of Mahesh Sharma.
