In a proactive move, Tripura Police, based in Bishalgarh under Sepahijala district, conducted a targeted raid on a residence following credible information. The operation, executed around 1:30 pm on the previous day, resulted in the apprehension of two individuals and the confiscation of a substantial quantity of illegal substances.

Acting on a tip-off, the law enforcement team, led by Officer-in-Charge Rana Chatterjee of Bishalgarh police station, swiftly moved to raid a house in the Dhanchari area. The focus of the operation was Raju Sarkar, identified as harboring a significant amount of dry cannabis in his residence.
The operation proved successful, leading to the arrest of two brothers – Raju Sarkar and Sanjit Sarkar. The duo now faces charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. They are currently in police custody, awaiting further legal proceedings.
The raid yielded a significant seizure, with law enforcement confiscating 50 kg of dry ganja from the residence. The successful operation highlights the Tripura Police’s commitment to curbing illegal activities and maintaining public safety.
