The northeastern state of Tripura has witnessed a decline in the number of active COVID-19 cases. In the last 24 hours, 14 patients have recovered, and the number of active cases has reduced to 45. Meanwhile, two new cases have been reported, bringing the total number of infections in the state to 108,141.
The daily infection rate currently stands at 0.82 percent. However, due to the small number of samples tested, the number of infected people is also low. Samples from 243 people have been tested through rapid antigen in the last 24 hours, among which only two people were found to be infected with the virus. This implies that the infection rate is well under control in the state.
As per the health department’s media bulletin, the overall recovery rate in the state is 99.03 percent, with 107,090 people having recovered from the virus so far. The death rate is 0.87 percent, with 937 people having lost their lives due to the virus in Tripura.
It is noteworthy that the infection rate in the state is currently at 4.04 percent, which is significantly lower than the national average of 20.32 percent. This implies that the state has been able to effectively contain the spread of the virus.
However, it is important to note that the pandemic is not over yet, and we should not let our guard down. We must continue to follow all COVID-19 guidelines and protocols, such as wearing masks, maintaining social distance, and practicing good hygiene.
Moreover, the state government has been taking several measures to control the spread of the virus, such as ramping up testing, increasing the number of hospital beds, and setting up COVID Care Centers across the state.
In the last 24 hours, one new case of COVID-19 has been reported in both West District and North Tripura District. No new cases have been reported in the remaining six districts.
The state government has also been actively involved in the vaccination drive, and has been able to vaccinate a significant number of people. The government has urged people to get vaccinated as soon as possible, and has assured them that the vaccine is safe and effective.
Tripura has witnessed a decline in active COVID-19 cases, and the infection rate is well under control in the state. However, we must not become complacent and continue to follow all COVID-19 guidelines and protocols.
