The Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) is all set to make history with the inauguration of its first-ever theme-based musical water fountain within the council areas. The grand event will take place on October 14, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Eco-Park, Khumulwng, marking a new chapter in the region’s efforts to boost tourism and promote cultural heritage.
The inauguration ceremony will be graced by Bubagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma, Hon’ble Chairman of AARC, TTAADC, who will officially unveil the musical fountain. He will be joined by Shri Purna Chandra Jamatia, Hon’ble Chief Executive Member (CEM) of TTAADC, along with other distinguished dignitaries and guests.
This newly installed musical water fountain stands out as a first-of-its-kind attraction in the TTAADC areas. Beyond its aesthetic beauty and synchronized musical effects, the fountain is designed to narrate the rich historical legacy and cultural pride of the indigenous communities of Tripura. Through a combination of music, light, and motion, it aims to showcase stories of the land, its people, and their timeless traditions.
Officials from TTAADC highlighted that the project is not just an entertainment feature but also a symbol of progress and innovation within the autonomous council. The musical fountain will serve as a major draw for tourists visiting Khumulwng, which is already recognized as the administrative and cultural hub of TTAADC.
Speaking about the initiative, TTAADC representatives stated that the project reflects the council’s commitment to developing sustainable tourism infrastructure while preserving the cultural roots of the indigenous population. The fountain is expected to attract visitors from across the state and neighboring regions, thereby generating employment opportunities and supporting the local economy.
With its synchronization of sound, light, and water jets, the musical fountain promises an immersive experience for audiences of all ages. It is also envisioned as a centerpiece for future cultural events, evening shows, and community gatherings at the Eco-Park.
The upcoming inauguration symbolizes a fusion of modern creativity with traditional storytelling, reinforcing the message that development and cultural preservation can go hand in hand. As TTAADC continues to focus on initiatives that uplift indigenous communities and promote local heritage, this musical fountain at Khumulwng stands as a shining example of innovation rooted in identity.
