The bodies of two minor girls who drowned in Sarma river in Dhalai district of Tripura on Saturday were recovered on Sunday. Police gave this information. Both the deceased sisters have been identified as Shantimala Chakma (15) and Sima Chakma (7). Divers of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), along with fire and emergency services personnel, recovered the bodies at Gandacherra on Sunday after several hours of struggle, an official said. But drowned while collecting weeds. The dead bodies were handed over to the police for postmortem.
