Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the current government of Tripura is working for the welfare of the people with a transparent attitude. The real development of the people of Tripura is the main goal of the present government. This was said by Chief Minister Professor (Dr) Manik Saha while addressing a function organized on the occasion of ‘Swachh Agartala, Shrestha Tripura’ campaign at Jayanagar in Agartala today.

Incidentally, the Agartala Pur Nigam has undertaken the ‘Swachh Agartala, Shrestha Tripura’ campaign from December 13 to 17 in view of the Prime Minister’s visit to Tripura. Through this campaign, cleaning program is being organized in each ward area of Agartala Pur Nigam. On this day, the Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister’s dream is to create Swachh Bharat. In order to make this dream of the Prime Minister a reality, Swachta Abhiyan is being organized regularly in Tripura as well. The Chief Minister emphasized not only on keeping the city clean, but also on keeping people’s minds and thoughts clean.

According to him, the current Tripura government is working by adopting multifaceted plans for the welfare of the people. The ‘Amar Sarkar’ portal has been launched so that people can think of the government as their own government. Apart from this, good governance programs have also been undertaken in every house so that the benefits of various schemes of the central and state governments reach the doorsteps of the people.

He claimed that as a result of the sincere initiative of the central government under the leadership of the Prime Minister, there has been massive development in various fields including communication in Tripura. Construction of 6 National Highways is underway in Tripura with the help of the Central Government and an allocation of 10,222 crore rupees has been received for the construction of 7 more National Highways. Apart from this, the allocation for the construction of 4 ropeways in Tripura has also been received.

The Chief Minister said that 12 express trains are currently plying from Agartala to different parts of the country due to the development of rail connectivity in Tripura. Besides, initiatives have been taken to make Agartala railway station one of the most modern railway stations in the country. Besides, initiatives have also been taken to transform Agartala’s Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport into the best airport in the North-Eastern region. In the ceremony, Agartala Pur Nigam Mayor Deepak Majumdar said that Agartala Pur Nigam is working by accepting the plan to fulfill the basic needs of the citizens of the city area. Pur Nigam is always active in solving various problems of citizen’s life. Cleanliness program has been undertaken through ‘Swachh Agartala, Shrestha Tripura’ campaign to convey the message of keeping Agartala city clean at all times. He said that the task of keeping the city beautiful and clean is not possible for the Agartala Pur Nigam alone, in this case the overall cooperation of the people is also required.
