Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sanbor Shullai on Wednesday said his party would continue to support the NPP-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance government.
Shullai’s remarks came about a month before BJP’s Meghalaya in-charge M Chuba AO had said the party would soon decide whether to continue supporting the NPP-led MDA government in the state following allegations of corruption against the Konrad Sangma government. He will decide.
“The BJP will not back down from the alliance and will complete its stipulated term in the alliance,” Shullai told PTI.
The party’s state president Ernest Mowry backed Sanborough, who claimed that the AO had made the remarks without consulting other state leaders.
