Police arrested a tribal woman from the Krishna Nagar area in Agartala for allegedly selling illegal narcotics. Officers recovered packets of Brown Sugar and Heroin from her possession, signaling active drug circulation in the locality.

Police Action Following Tip-Off

According to officials, police received a reliable tip-off about her involvement in the illegal drug trade. Acting immediately, a team led by DSP (Central) Debaprasad Roy carried out a raid near Advisor Chaumuhuni. During the operation, officers found a small quantity of Brown Sugar and Heroin and detained the accused, identified as Madhuri Debbarma.

Police Statement

Speaking to the media, DSP Roy confirmed that the police tracked her activities before making the arrest. He stated that the raid took place soon after officers verified the intelligence. He further added that the operation aimed to dismantle a growing drug network in the area.

Police now plan to produce Madhuri before the court and seek custody for further interrogation. Officers will attempt to trace the source of the narcotics and identify others connected to the supply chain. The investigation will also focus on understanding how the drugs entered the Krishna Nagar locality.
