In Manipur, 13 terrorists surrendered before the army and police on Thursday. Welcoming all these, the Chief Minister said that now the time has come to work for the development of the state. According to the information, 13 militants surrendered before Manipur Chief Minister N Biren on Thursday. Militants lay down their arms at the 1st Manipur Rifles compound. Twelve of them are cadres of banned KCP (PWG) and one is cadre of banned outfit KYKL.

CM Biren said on this occasion that we welcome those militants who have left the path of cruelty. Now the time has come to work for the development of the state. The problem of insurgency will be solved within five years. He said that the central government agencies working in the state should solve the problem of militancy in a positive manner.

Smuggler arrested in Kolkata
Meanwhile, a drug smuggler has been arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata Police. More than one kilogram of heroin was recovered from him. Its value has been estimated at Rs 5 crore. It is being told that the STF had arrested the drug smuggler on Wednesday from BT Road near Dakshin Sinthi crossroads in North Kolkata.
