Three Assam migrant workers have been killed after being shot dead by a high-speed vehicle on Tuesday in Mayasandra, on the outskirts of Bengaluru.
According to police, the incident occurred while migrant workers in Assam were returning home late at night on Monday after work. All the workers died on the spot after being hit.
The identity of the deceased has not been recovered at this time. A local passerby reported the incident to the police.
The impact of the accident was so severe that the bodies were disentangled and parts scattered across the road.
The Attibele police rushed to the site and transferred the bodies to the Attibele government hospital.
The preliminary investigation gave the impression that the vehicle was involved in the accident.
The driver who had committed the crime had escaped from the place leaving the damaged vehicle behind. The police have launched a hunt for the driver.
They have also begun to gather information from locals regarding deceased individuals. Further investigation is underway.
