Agartala: Tripura government has announced a 12-percentage hike in Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief for its employees and pensioners with effect from December 1. With this revision, the whole DA hike introduced through the cutting-edge BJP-led government that came to power in 2018 has long passed up to 20 percentage from 8 percentage.
“Today announced a 12-percentage hike in DA/DR for the employees & pensioners. Besides, also declared over 50 percentage hikes in remuneration of DRWs MRWs PTWs and Contingent workers. The selections will benefit around 1,94,000 persons/ families and could have a positive effect on the overall development,” Chief Minister Manik Saha tweeted.
The chief minister stated the revision will come into impact from December 1. Besides, the state government additionally declared over a 50 percentage hike in remuneration of casual-and-part-time-workers, which can be over 8,600 in number. “The DA/DR improved remuneration/wages and so on, could be paid with the month-to-month salary/pension, and so on of December 2022,” a statement by the state government stated.
This revision in DA allowances could advantage a complete of 104,600 normal personnel and 80,800 pensioners throughout the state, the statement added. The DA and remuneration hike will placed an additional Rs 120 crore (Rs 1,440 crore) yearly into the hands of the employees and pensioners.
The announcement was made in spite of having a big debt burden left over through the previous CPI (M) regime, which ruled the state for over decades. Assembly Elections in Tripura are slated sometime early next year.
