Maharaja Pradyot Bikram Manikya DebBarma, Chairman of the AARC (Attractive Areas of Regional Collaboration), led a TTAADC (Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council) delegation to the United Kingdom, where several strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed to strengthen education, skills, and cultural exchange for the indigenous people of Tripura.
One of the key highlights was the MoU signed with the Regis Academy of Leadership and Skills, UK. This agreement will provide subsidized vocational and leadership training for the indigenous youth of Tripura, aiming to improve their skillsets, employability, and access to global opportunities.
Another milestone was the collaboration with ReelN, a UK-based media firm, which has committed to showcasing Tripura’s rich indigenous art, films, and cultural heritage to international audiences through digital and media platforms.
Further boosting academic cooperation, Bournemouth University expressed strong interest in partnering through student exchange programs, joint research projects, and knowledge-sharing platforms with Tripura’s institutions.
These historic partnerships, championed by Maharaja Pradyot and strongly supported by MLA Paul Dangshu, reflect a visionary move towards empowering the TIPRA community through global exposure and education.
This UK visit marks a transformative chapter for Tripura’s tribal communities, linking their aspirations with global networks in education, media, and skill development.
