Bhaichung Bhutia, former captain of the Indian football team and working president of the Hamro Sikkim Party (HPC), was unanimously elected as the president of the party. He will replace Dr. Bina Basnet, who was serving as the founding president of HSP since 2018 after the formation of the party. According to party sources, the term of Dr. Bina Basnet has ended, so the party unanimously elected the working president as the new president. Bhutia said after becoming the HSP president, we will continue to strive to serve the people of Sikkim and represent their hopes and aspirations.
