The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has organized a one-day training program for its karyakartas as part of its Booth Sashaktikaran program. The trained karyakartas will act as Bistarak and visit each Shaktoi kendra to form committees.
The training program was held at the Town Hall on Friday, and district-level karyakartas from seven districts attended the program. In the program, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha addressed the karyakartas and stressed the importance of their role in strengthening the party. He urged them to work with full devotion to ensure the BJP’s victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
“In the 2023 state assembly election, the party won because the Prime Minister engaged his full strength, and now it is our duty to give him two Lok Sabha seats from the state,” said Dr. Saha.
Apart from the Chief Minister and state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, BJP national secretary Arvind Menon was also present in the program. The leaders spoke to the karyakartas and emphasized the importance of their role in ensuring the BJP’s success in the upcoming elections.
However, during the program, the Chief Minister also cautioned the Bistarak to remain alert if agents of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) or Congress entered their committees. He said that both parties had hatched a conspiracy to weaken the BJP, and it was the BJP’s duty to defeat them at any cost.
The Chief Minister warned the karyakartas that they must be vigilant and take appropriate action if they found any agents from the CPI(M) or Congress in their committees. The BJP has been facing increasing challenges from the CPI(M) and Congress in Tripura, and it is making efforts to strengthen its position.
The Booth Sashaktikaran program is part of the BJP’s strategy to strengthen its position in Tripura and consolidate its electoral base ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The program aims to empower the party’s grassroots workers and karyakartas and create a strong organizational structure at the booth level.
