All Tripura Blind Association submitted a memorandum to the Minister of Social Welfare and Social Education Department on 16-point demand. A delegation of All Tripura Blind Association met Minister Tinku Roy at Mahakaran on Monday regarding various problems of specially abled people.
Monday was led by Mithun Saha, the general secretary of the organization Among their demands are 16-point demands, including speedy filling of vacancies for the visually impaired in various departments of the state government, establishment of braille press in the state, making the amount of allowance five thousand rupees, implementation of the Rights of Specially Able Persons Act-2016. He expressed hope that the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education will take appropriate steps for the welfare of the blind. The minister assured them to look into the matter.
