The founder of the Tipra Motha Party shared that he has received assurances from the highest authorities in Delhi that students will be allowed to write their examinations in the script of their choice, as was the practice before certain statements were issued by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) Chairman.
Expressing gratitude for the widespread support received, Bubagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma highlighted the collective efforts of the TISF, Twipra Students’ Federation (TSF), civil society leaders, and the Motha warriors who united for the cause of preserving the indigenous script known as Dopha.
“I have been assured by the highest authority in Delhi that the students will be allowed to write the examination in a script of their choice, as was being done before certain statements issued by TBSE Chairman. We will now wait for their official statement, and after that, we will peacefully return home to our friends and family,” stated Bubagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma during the Facebook Live session.
This development marks a significant step forward in resolving the impasse over the demand for the use of the Roman script for answering Kokborok papers in both TBSE and CBSE examinations.
