The construction work of the new building of the State Police General Directorate started with Bhoomi Puja following the rituals of Vastu Shastra. This new multi-storied paved building with modern management will be built in the area adjacent to the Agartala Secretariat.

Police Minister of the state as well as the chief minister and the director general of the state police along with the high-ranking police officers participated in this Bhoomi Puja of the day. To speed up the work of the state security administration, the new office of the director general of the state police with state-of-the-art management is going to be built in the area adjacent to the secretariat.
