The Mizoram Police on Friday seized a consignment of heroin worth over Rs 34 crore in the international market. Heroin weighing 6.836 kg was concealed in 500 soap cases, which were confiscated by the police in Champhai district of Mizoram. According to the police, this is the biggest arrest of heroin in the recent history of the state. When the police stopped the vehicle and checked it, the consignment was confiscated. The driver of the vehicle Lalampuiya has been arrested by the police and handed over to Champhai police station in Mizoram.
