International Women’s Day Celebrated in Muktdhara Auditorium


On the occasion of celebrating International Women’s Day-2023, the state-based program was held at Muktdhara Auditorium on Tuesday. Minister of Social Welfare and Social Education Department Tinku Roy inaugurated the event. Department Secretary Tapas Roy, Women Commission Chairperson Varnali Goswami, Director L Rankhal and others were present at the Women’s Day function.

Many girls have become financially independent through self-help groups. Men have to work with them as equal partners Speaking at the event, Minister Tinku Roy said. He also said that only three MLAs were elected in the 2018 elections. The number of female legislators in this year’s assembly is nine Out of 60 members 9 women members. He said that this is the change of the state. Women are handling the major ministries of the Centre But even after that, some sporadic incidents are happening Minister Tinku Roy advised to work on those issues.
