A man has tragically died after being hit by a train. Whether the incident was suicide or an accident, the police have started an investigation.
According to the police, Gautam Majumdar (55) died after being cut on the Agartala-Sabroom railway at around 7:30 am on Saturday. The incident took place on the railway line in Robidas Sewashram area adjacent to Manubazar railway station. Local people saw it and informed the police and fire brigade. On receiving the information, the fire brigade rushed to rescue Gautam Majumdar and took him to the hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. The incident cast a shadow of mourning on the area.
