Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla recently reviewed the status of relief and rehabilitation efforts for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the state. The visit focused on evaluating the conditions of relief camps and assessing ongoing government support.
The Manipur Governor IDP welfare review meeting took place on Saturday in Imphal. Senior officials from the Home Department, Relief and Disaster Management, and Social Welfare Department attended the session. The Governor directed all departments to ensure timely and effective implementation of aid and rehabilitation measures.

Manipur Governor IDP Welfare Review Held in Imphal
During the high-level meeting, Governor Bhalla emphasized that rehabilitation of displaced persons remains the top priority. He urged officials to provide food, clean drinking water, medical care, and education for children staying in relief camps.
The Governor visited two major relief sites after the review. He interacted with families who had taken shelter due to the ongoing ethnic tensions in several districts. His visit aimed to assure citizens that the administration stands firmly with them.
