The University of Tezpur, considered as one of the most sought-after institutions for higher studies in Assam recently got awarded with an honored A+ grade by the national higher education institution accrediting body National Assessment and Accreditation Council better known by its abbreviated form called NAAC.
On a four-scale assessment done by the NAAC Tezpur University scored a whopping 3.41 CGPA in its fourth cycle of accreditation.
The six-member NAAC team that visited the university on the 1st and 3rd of August this year, praised the well-maintained infrastructure of the central institution and also appreciated its quality research and development.
Speaking to the media, Prof. Dhruba Kumar Bhattacharya, the university’s pro-vice-chancellor said, “This grade became possible due to consistent, integrated yet organized efforts of all the members of the University under the abled leadership of our vice-chancellor. We must maintain this standard in the future.”
The University of Tezpur with this achievement gets placed in the top 7% of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in India to be honored with such a highly coveted rating. The university recently was also ranked 90th overall by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) of 2022 and 59th among universities. Besides, the finest of Indian national students, the university currently has 20+ talented and bright minds from across the globe enrolled in its various programs.
