Bidhu Debbarma, a cadre of the banned NLFT-BM militant outfit, was arrested by the North Tripura district police from the Sutarkandi border out post area in Assam. He was then brought to the Dharmanagar police station on Friday and transported to Agartala on Saturday under heavy police security.
It is reported that Bidhu Debbarma, who is 51 years old, had been imprisoned in Bangladesh for a long time. He is a resident of Devendra Chowdhury Para area near the Indo-Bangladesh international border in Khowai district.
The police officials have stated that they will interrogate him and take necessary legal action against him.
