Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday announced that a total of 19,262 individuals, including die-in-harness cases, have been appointed to permanent government positions since the formation of the BJP-led government in 2018.

The announcement came during an appointment letter distribution ceremony held at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala, where 15 newly selected Food Inspectors under the Food Department received their appointment letters. These appointments were made through the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC), following a merit-based recruitment process.

Transparent and Merit-Based Hiring

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Saha emphasized the government’s commitment to transparency and meritocracy in public sector hiring.

“Our government is not only filling up existing vacancies but also creating new posts across various departments. Every recruitment is being done strictly on the basis of merit,” said Dr. Saha.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the recruitment process is being carried out in a fair and transparent manner, ensuring that deserving candidates are selected without any political or personal interference.

Support for Blood Donation Drive

Alongside the appointment ceremony, a blood donation camp was also organized. Dr. Saha praised and encouraged the donors, calling blood donation a noble cause and an act of social responsibility.

“Donating blood can save lives. I appreciate the selfless contributions of all the donors participating in today’s camp,” he added.

Strengthening Public Administration

The state government, under the leadership of Dr. Saha, has made employment generation a priority. The appointments made over the last six years reflect efforts to strengthen public administration and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth of Tripura.

The Chief Minister concluded by congratulating the newly appointed Food Inspectors and encouraged them to serve the public with dedication and integrity.
