Late on Saturday evening, a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) bomb detonated near the Harijan Colony in Them Iew Mawlong, East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya, specifically at the Shillong City Bus Syndicate area. The blast occurred inside a small abandoned tin structure, causing damage to nearby property.

The explosion took place in an area often used by locals for garbage disposal. Despite the intensity of the blast, no casualties have been reported as of now. However, one person sustained injuries and was promptly taken to Woodland Hospital for medical attention. Additionally, one shop in the vicinity suffered damage due to the explosion.
