Tipra Motha Reviews Counting Preparations
Senior Tipra Motha leaders, MLAs and TTAADC representatives held a meeting on Saturday. They reviewed the party’s preparations for the October 5 counting process.

Speaking after the meeting, Tipra Motha senior leader and Minister of State Brishaketu Debbarma said the party’s internal assessment showed a positive trend.

The party expects to secure between 470 and 500 of the 587 Village Committees. In addition, a party leader claimed that the combined NDA tally could cross 500.

The Village Committee elections cover several tribal areas under the jurisdiction of the TTAADC.
According to reported State Election Commission figures, voter turnout reached 81.21 per cent, including election-duty votes.
