The Tripura BJP on Saturday accused the Communist Party of India (Marxist) of deliberately misleading the public with false narratives. The party asserted that CPI(M) operates with a criminal mindset, pointing to the way they governed the state in the past. BJP leaders claimed that the opposition party’s attempts to spread misinformation were aimed at destabilizing the current administration and confusing voters.

BJP spokespersons stated that CPI(M) had misruled Tripura for decades, allowing lawlessness to thrive. They alleged that the opposition party had a long history of suppressing dissent, intimidating political opponents, and misusing government machinery for their own gains. According to BJP leaders, the people of Tripura had already rejected CPI(M) in previous elections, recognizing their governance failures. However, they claimed that CPI(M) was still attempting to mislead the public by twisting facts and spreading fear.

The ruling party emphasized that under BJP governance, Tripura had seen significant improvements in law and order, infrastructure, and overall development. They claimed that CPI(M) was feeling threatened by the progress being made and was, therefore, resorting to propaganda to regain lost ground. BJP leaders urged citizens not to fall for the opposition’s false claims and instead judge the government based on real progress.

BJP leaders further alleged that CPI(M) functioned with a mentality rooted in violence and suppression. They pointed to instances in the past when political violence was rampant in Tripura, accusing CPI(M) of orchestrating attacks on opposition workers during their rule. The BJP claimed that CPI(M) had a track record of using muscle power to maintain control and that their political strategies still reflected that approach.

The ruling party also criticized CPI(M) for failing to address crucial issues like employment and economic growth when they were in power. BJP leaders argued that CPI(M) had left behind a legacy of underdevelopment and poverty, which the current government was working hard to reverse. They highlighted recent initiatives aimed at boosting infrastructure, healthcare, and education in the state.

Responding to BJP’s allegations, CPI(M) leaders dismissed the accusations as baseless. They accused the ruling party of trying to divert attention from pressing issues by attacking the opposition. CPI(M) leaders maintained that BJP’s claims were politically motivated and intended to silence criticism of the government’s failures.

Despite the political war of words, BJP leaders remained firm in their stance. They insisted that CPI(M)’s influence in Tripura had waned because people had seen through their tactics. BJP leaders encouraged citizens to stay informed and not be misled by misinformation campaigns. They expressed confidence that the public would continue to support BJP’s development-driven approach.

The Tripura BJP reiterated that their focus remained on governance and ensuring that the state progressed in every sector. They assured people that the administration was committed to maintaining law and order and promoting a stable political environment. BJP leaders concluded that CPI(M)’s attempts to mislead the public would not succeed, as the people of Tripura had already moved past the era of misrule.
