Tripura BJP: Former Militant Leader Daniel Borak Joins BJP, 29 Other Members Also Took Membership of the Party

Former militant leader Daniel Borak has joined BJP along with 29 other members of his group. Tripura BJP state president Rajeev Bhattacharya was also present on the occasion of joining Tribal wing of BJP, Tribal Front. Apart from them, state president of BJP’s tribal wing Tribal Morcha Bikash Debbarma and vice-president Patal Kanya Jamatiya were also present. Significantly, Daniel Borak has joined BJP when assembly elections are to be held in the state soon.

Later speaking to reporters, Daniel said, he is inspired by the work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha. He is working for the development of tribal people in Tripura. Daniel, a former leader of banned outfit NLFT, said he was working for Tripura United Indigenous Returned People Council (TUIRPC), an NGO that works for the welfare of surrendered militants, associates and their family members. Phanindranath Sharma and Deepak Majumdar and other senior BJP leaders were also present on the occasion.
