Chief Minister Manik Saha of Tripura set the stage for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held its ‘Karyakarini Baithak’ (working committee meeting) at Charilam Higher Secondary School in the Sepahijala district. The meeting saw discussions on strategies to secure victory in the upcoming elections, with a particular focus on booth empowerment. Chief Minister Saha highlighted the importance of the Lok Sabha election and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nine-year tenure.
Speaking to reporters after the daylong meeting, Chief Minister Saha stated that while the BJP holds its Karyakarini Baithak every year, this time they discussed additional subjects. The meeting placed a specific emphasis on the Lok Sabha election and reflected on Prime Minister Modi’s nine years in office.
He mentioned, “We have also held discussions on booth empowerment, and we are dedicated to strengthening 3,328 booths with the aim of securing victory for the party. Following the Lok Sabha election, our focus will be on further fortifying the booths. We also deliberated on the current political landscape and the activities of other political parties.” The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Modi for his relentless efforts in the development of the common people through various beneficiary and flagship schemes.
The meeting witnessed the presence of former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, MP Rebati Tripura, Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik, as well as other cabinet ministers and BJP state leaders.
