Tripura Cops Seize 8 Kg Cannabis, None Held


In a major crackdown on illegal drugs, the Tripura Police have seized 8 kg of cannabis from a vehicle in West Tripura district. The vehicle was intercepted by a police patrol team on NH-44 near Dharmanagar town on Wednesday.

The police said that they were conducting a routine check when they noticed a suspicious vehicle. Upon inspection, they found a large quantity of cannabis hidden in the vehicle. No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.

The seizure has come as a major blow to the illegal drug trade in Tripura. The state has been grappling with a drug problem for many years, and the police have been working hard to curb the menace.

The police said that they are continuing their efforts to crack down on the illegal drug trade. They urged people to come forward with any information they may have about drug trafficking.
