Tripura Governor Applauds BSF Troops at Yakubnagar Border Outpost

Tripura Governor N. Indrasena Reddy made a significant visit to the border outpost Yakubnagar of the 139 Battalion Border Security Force (BSF), where he was accorded a dignified ‘Guard of Honor.’ The purpose of the visit was to assess the current security scenario along the Indo-Bangladesh border in Tripura.

During the visit, the commandant of the 139 Battalion BSF briefed Governor Reddy on the prevailing security conditions along the border. The Governor took the opportunity to interact with the troops stationed at the border outpost, commending their dedication and motivating them to continue safeguarding the nation.Yakubnagar, situated on the Indo-Bangladesh border in north Tripura, serves as a crucial border outpost for the BSF. Border outposts are strategically positioned defense installations maintained by sovereign states along their borders. 

They play a pivotal role in monitoring and securing the border with neighboring states. These outposts are strategically spaced to ensure comprehensive coverage and vigilance.The Governor actively participated in the Sainik Sammelan organized at the border outpost, providing an opportunity to connect with the troops. Additionally, he witnessed a weapon exhibition organized at the outpost, gaining insights into the advanced equipment and technology used by the BSF for border security.

The visit was conducted under the supervision of Sector Commander BSF Panisagar Murari Prasad Singh, DIG Anil Kumar Guleria, and the Commandant of the 139th Battalion of BSF. The presence of state officials and other officers added significance to the Governor’s visit, reinforcing the collaborative efforts between the state and central security forces in ensuring the safety and integrity of the nation’s borders.
