Tripura: Seven Shops Burnt to ashes, Mayor Went to Inquire About the Affected Traders

Agartala Pur Nigam Mayor Deepak Majumdar visited 7 shops which were burnt to ashes by vandals last Wednesday. He spoke to the affected traders today. He strongly condemned the incident and demanded severe punishment for the accused. Meanwhile, Papia Dutta, the winning candidate of 6th Agartala assembly constituency, also sought out the affected businessmen.

On this day, he faced the journalists and said that since the election results were announced, some miscreants in the state set fire to 7 shops in the capital Chandrapur market on Wednesday night with the aim of creating an atmosphere of unrest and damaging the image of the government. He demanded that the prosecution of the accused involved in the fire incident should take appropriate punishment. He also strongly condemned the incident.

On this day, he assured the affected businessmen that the government is thinking of providing financial support to them. Special measures will be taken to ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future.
