Two people were seriously injured in a vehicle accident on New Year’s Eve. The injured in the accident on the national highway in the area adjacent to Hatat Bazar in Shantirbazar sub-division in South Tripura district are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
According to the police, around 1:40 pm today, the bike bearing the number TR03K8979 lost control and met with an accident. Suman Das (25) and Sanjay Das (23), residents of Udaipur No. 2 Phulkumari, were seriously injured. On hearing the news, firemen rushed to rescue them and took them to Shantirbazar Hospital. There they were admitted to the trauma care center. But the doctor on duty shifted both of them to GB hospital seeing their condition as critical.
ASI Harilal Das of Shantirbazar police station said that the accident bike was recovered and taken to Manpathar outpost. Arrangements have been made to shift the injured to GB Hospital.
