Union Home Minister Amit Shah Inaugurates the Statue of Vallabhbhai Patel at Raj Bhavan, in Sikkim

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has reached Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, on Friday. He was accorded a grand welcome by Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, Speaker of Sikkim Legislative Assembly Arun Kumar Upreti, Deputy Speaker, MLA, Lok Sabha MP, State Chief Secretary Lagayat Gangtok Zillapal at the Indian Army helipad at Libing, Gangtok.

Minister Shah is on a one-day visit to Sikkim. He inaugurated the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Raj Bhavan in the capital Gangtok today. Sikkim Governor Ganga Prasad was also present on the occasion. A documentary on the life of Sikkim Governor Ganga Prasad was released on the occasion.

Along with this, “Pragati Path” coffee table book was released by Union Minister Amit Shah, Governor Ganga Prasad, Chief Minister Lagayat and other guests. Governor Ganga Prasad presented a replica of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s statue in gratitude to Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Eastern and North-Eastern Region Dairy Cooperative Conference in Gangtok as per the schedule. During this, Shah said that the Narendra Modi government has decided to set up about 65,000 active primary agricultural credit societies. Within 5 years each Panchayat will have one PACS and one Dairy.
