Union Home minister Amit Shah, WB Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be striking the campaign trail in Tripura. These all ministers will come up together for the trial in the coming week. This time Tripura will be witnessing a tye between the ruling party BJP and the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT). It is a very old alliance.

The Left ruled Tripura for about 25 long years before the current ruling party BJP came in 2018. Now the Left has already instituted an alliance with the Indian National Congress. These parties have come up by joining other parties.

But the parties that are going solo are Trinamool Congress along with Tipra Motha. It is headed by the erstwhile royal scion Pradyot Manikya Debbarma. There is only one agenda of both parties and that is defeating BJP.

Every party is now in rush to make promises and do better for the state. The Tripura polls are just around the corner and preparations for polls are quite tight in the state. The elections are going to be held in February. And the counting will start in March. People are all buckled up to vote.
