The announcement of the ceasefire extension emerged on Thursday (March 07) following deliberations between representatives of the government of India and NSCN/GPRN (Khango).
The decision reflects the shared commitment of both parties to uphold peace and explore modalities for addressing longstanding issues in the region.
In a statement from the ministry of information and publicity of NSCN/GPRN (Khango), the ceasefire agreement is emphasized as a means to promote peace in Nagaland and facilitate constructive dialogue to address the aspirations of the Naga people.
