The North-East Students’ Organization Jalandhar (NESOJ) is gearing up to host the 5th edition of the Northeast Fiesta 2024, a dazzling cultural extravaganza. This year’s event will take place on October 25th and 26th at Eastwood Village, Punjab.
The festival promises to be a captivating journey through the vibrant cultures and traditions of India’s eight North-Eastern states: Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. Organized by NESOJ, a student-led organization, the North-East Fiesta has rapidly become one of Punjab’s most anticipated cultural events.
This year’s festival will feature a diverse array of activities, including traditional dances, folk music, ethnic fashion shows, and cultural exhibitions. Attendees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of North-Eastern culture, savor delectable cuisine, and experience the warm hospitality of the region’s people.
Dr. Himanshu Agarwal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar, will grace the event as the chief guest. Himan Debbarma, President of NESOJ Punjab, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We invite everyone to join us at the North East Fiesta 2024 to celebrate the beauty, diversity, and cultural richness of the North-Eastern region of India. Let’s come together to bridge cultures and foster unity.”
The North-East Fiesta 2024 is not just a celebration of culture but also a platform for cross-cultural exchange and understanding. It aims to promote the region’s unique identity and contribute to the nation’s cultural diversity.
